CANCELED FOR WEATHER**Full Sturgeon Moon Hike with Friends of the Long Pond Greenbelt (FLPG): All Ages

Hike Leader: Member, Friends of the Long Pong Greenbelt

Join Friends of the Long Pond Greenbelt (FLPG) and SOFO on a one hour, leisurely-paced hike through open-field trails. The Native American fishing tribes are given credit for the naming of this moon since sturgeon were most readily caught during this month. A few tribes knew it as the Full Red Moon because, as the moon rises, it appears reddish through any sultry haze.  Hikes are limited to 25 participants and priority will be given to 2021 FLPG members.
