Yoga with Laura Berland, senior yoga and meditation teacher/trainer/activist and coach

Join us for a special yoga program, for kids and people of all abilities, to connect with nature and joy.

 

About Program Leader Laura Berland:

Laura is a senior yoga and meditation teacher (E-RYT 500), yoga therapist (C-IAYT), teacher of teachers, and preserver of the wisdom of master teachers. She is the founder of Talking Yoga, an online learning and coaching platform, interviewing over 50 master teachers and collaborating with the Rubin Museum in NYC and the Mindful Leadership Summit.

Laura serves as senior faculty for ashtanga-based The Hard & The Soft Yoga Institute, founded by Beryl Bender Birch in 1975. She has also served as mentor faculty to the Yoga Shanti teacher-training   program and to the Mindful Yoga Therapy teacher-training program supporting veterans and other populations dealing with trauma. Laura is the Yoga Director for the Pulver Space, Science, and Future Conference held annually in Turks and Caicos.

Outside the yoga room, Laura serves as the Chief Marketing Officer for Neil DeGrasse Tyson’s StarTalk science media network of top rated podcasts, and Emmy-nominated StarTalk TV on NatGeo. She has been mentoring women in new media and technology for over 35 years.

Laura began visiting the East End almost 40 years ago and has been a full-time resident since 2002. She currently lives in Sag Harbor and is passionate about preserving the nature that surrounds, supports, and heals us.
