Join Melanie and observe some of our common woodpeckers as they search for food in the backyard. The nearby woods have many old trees that are home to a host of boring insects, like bark beetles, and insect grubs are a favorite food of woodpeckers. Come along and meet the Downy Woodpecker, and other woodpeckers. This program, with photos, videos, and a bird quiz, is fun for young children, young birders and the young at heart.
