Join Friends of the Long Pond Greenbelt and South Fork Natural History Museum on a leisurely-paced one-hour hike through open-field trails behind SoFo. Whenever two full Moons appear in a single month, the second is christened a “Blue Moon.” Due to our calendar days, the appearance of a Blue Moon is actually a relatively rare occurrence since one rises on average only once every 2 ½ to 3 years; however, 2018 is unique with two Blue Moons. This is a free program.
Advance reservations are required for all events. For more information, reservations, and directions to meeting places, please call: (631) 537-9735.
