Program Presenter: Rachel Speckenbach, South Fork Natural History Museum Environmental Educator
As human beings, we have the ability to greatly affect and alter our surrounding environment. One way we negatively do so is by improperly disposing of plastics, much of which ultimately end up in our oceans and other local water bodies. Join Rachel for a lesson on plastic pollution! You’ll learn where marine debris comes from, understand how plastic waste harms aquatic habitats and wildlife, and discover how to keep our waters clean through different interactive activities.
