In this program for oyster growers, harvesters, and consumers, an understanding of the diseases, pests, predators, and other factors that can affect oyster survival is essential. A knowledge of the potential illnesses caused by ubiquitous bacteria will aid everyone in avoiding illness when consuming raw shellfish. Similar to how we treat store-bought meats and vegetables, there is a common, simple protocol one should follow in order to avoid illness when consuming raw shellfish. Join us for an inside look at oysters.

Advance reservations are required for all events. For more information, reservations, and directions to meeting places, please call: (631) 537-9735.
