This is a Zoom Online Program
Read by Melanie Meade, SOFO Education and Outreach Coordinator
In nature, every animal has a name that tells us what kind of animal it is. There are also names for groups of the same kind of animals. For example, a group of bees is called a swarm, a group of monkeys is known as a troop. We’ll read Lee Clancey’s children’s book: A Bale of Turtles, beautifully illustrated by Mary Rothermel and learn more about animal groups and their sometimes unusual and funny names. We’ll read the book a second time and play a fun matching game with the names for more than one of the same kind of animal.
To sign up, please complete our PROGRAM REGISTRATION FORM and we will send you a zoom link to reserve your spot.
