Walk Leader: Melanie Meade, SOFO Education & Outreach Coordinator
This loop trail around a former cranberry bog offers views of bogs and wetlands that are home to unique native plants including Pitcher Plants and the Grass Pink Orchid. Remnants of the former cranberry growing operation are also visible. The 165 acre preserve drains into the Little River and then to the Peconic River Estuary, an essential habitat for a variety of birds, fish, and turtles.
