Walk Leader: Frank Quevedo, South Fork Natural History Museum (SOFO) Executive Director
Just a few miles from the Atlantic Ocean, Good Ground Park in Hampton Bays serves as a migration trap for birds heading north to their breeding grounds. This leisurely paced walk, through the park’s newly wooded walking trail, is a great opportunity to view spring migrants such as Baltimore orioles, yellow warblers, ovenbirds, and perhaps a scarlet tanager. Bring your binoculars if you have them—and a field guide to birds of eastern North America, if you have one. This is a FREE program.
Advance reservations are required for all events. For more information, reservations, and directions to meeting places, please call: (631) 537-9735.
