Program Leader: Xylia Serafy, South Fork Natural History Museum (SOFO) Environmental Educator
Wondering what you can do with all of those shells and treasures you collected on the beach? Join Xylia in creating your own beach memory jar. We’ll walk along the beach and gather shells, driftwood, and other things we can find on our hunt for beach treasures. You’re welcome to bring your previously collected shells to add to your jar. While collecting these items, we’ll talk about what kinds of animals make or live in the shells we have collected. Materials fee: $5
Advanced reservations are required for all events. For more information, reservations, and directions to meeting places, please call: (631) 537-9735.
