Astronomy Talk and Star Viewing: Sean Tvelia, Professor of Geology, and Mike Inglis, Professor of Astrophysics —both at Suffolk County Community College

Cosponsored by the Montauk Observatory to commemorate Earth Day, National Astronomy Day, and the conclusion of International Dark Sky Week

This summer, Jupiter will be riding high in the sky, so what better time to talk about this amazing planet? Sean and Mike will present an up-to-date talk on our current understanding of this giant planet. Sean will discuss some of the myriad moons of Jupiter, while Mike will cover what we know about the planet itself. With the latest images and most recent scientific data, this lively and well-illustrated talk will give an overview of the largest planet in our solar system.

Advance reservations are required for all events. For more information, reservations, and directions to meeting places, please call: (631) 537-9735.
