Program Leader: Naturalist from the Stony Brook University School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences (SoMAS)
Join SOFO for a delightful cruise onboard Stony Brook University’s School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences 44ft. research vessel, the R/V Paumanok, for a chance to see sea turtles, whales, and other marine mammals. Pack binoculars, lunch, and something to drink, and enjoy the trip. There is a fee of $35 for members and $40 for nonmembers for this program. The program is for adults, but children ages 10 and older may attend. Advance reservations necessary.
We’ll be offshore, so wear appropriate clothing. Bring binoculars if you have them as well as drinking water and a light snack. Limited Enrollment.
