Walk Leader: Frank Quevedo, SOFO Executive Director
Cupsogue Beach County Park is a biodiverse area of Long Island’s barrier islands. Seasonal migrants tend to be associated with the spring and summer, but winter also brings different species to Long Island. During winter months northern migrant species travel south, many of which can be viewed at Cupsogue. On this walk we will search for seals, diving ducks and other wildlife that inhabit the park during this time.
