Walk Leader: Melanie Meade, SOFO Education and Outreach Coordinator
Let your senses be your guide as you explore this unique woodland trail. The trail starts in a forest of oak, hickory, beech, and mountain laurel and passes by vernal ponds, kettle holes and glacial erratics on the way to the edge of the Great Swamp. We’ll look for signs of the deer, hawks, foxes, and eagles that call this habitat home. At the trail’s end, the scent of pine trees fills the air in a grove of planted white pine.
There is a $15 fee for Adults and $10 fee for children for this program. Members are free.
Advanced reservations are required for all events. For more information, reservations, and directions to meeting places, please call: (631) 537-9735 or email [email protected].
