Calling young nature painters! Learn to identify trees by the shapes of their leaves in a painting workshop for families with young children ages 3 to 7. We will use tempera to mix as many different greens as we can, and then use them to paint different leaf shapes to help us identify familiar trees. When dry, shapes can be cut out and saved for spring, to match with sprouting leaves of trees around the museum. Smock or painting clothes recommended. Material fee $5.
Advance reservations are required for all events. For more information, reservations, and directions to meeting places, please call: (631) 537-9735.
