Sea Star Sensation: This family program is for children ages 5 and older.
Program Leader: Olivia McGranaghan, SOFO Environmental Educator
In this program with Olivia, you’ll find out about the anatomy of a sea star and the different species of sea stars you can find in the waters around Long Island. You’ll learn about sea stars’ habitats, diets, behaviors, their ecological role as a keystone species, and what keystone species means. And…you’ll create your own paper-mâché sea star that you can take home!
There is a $15 fee for Adults and $10 fee for children for this program. This program fee will also provide non-members with free admission to the museum on a day of their choice. Members are free.
