Join Environmental Educator Rockfish Rob and Horticulturist April Gonzalez for nature walk & tree tour in Emma Elliston Memorial Park. The tree identification and talk will focus on the American Chestnut, its importance, its decimation by a fungal blight and the latest on the restoration and the cultivation of blight resistant varieties. Participants will get to take with them a chestnut seed to watch germinate at home!
