Join SOFO’s Reptile & Amphibian Specialist Jake for an opportunity to meet the freshwater fish and turtles that call our local freshwater ponds home. Participants will assist in checking turtle traps for local turtles, including the common snapping turtle and Eastern painted turtle. After our turtle search, SOFO staff, as well as program participants, will conduct seines hoping to capture local fish such as perch, bass, and sunfish.

This program is for all ages.

For non-members, there is a $15 fee for adults and a $10 fee for children for this program. This program fee will also provide non-members with free admission to the museum on a day of their choice. Members are free. Advanced reservations are required for all events.
