Dragonfly Field Day at Mashomack Preserve, Shelter Island
June 21 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

Dragonflies are beautiful and fascinating insects that play a key role in nature. Join the South Fork Natural History Museum and The Nature Conservancy’s dragonfly expert Kevin Munroe as he leads this exploration at Mashomack’s Bass Creek and Sanctuary Pond. You’ll use hand nets to capture dragonflies so you can get rare, closeup looks at them. You’ll even get a chance to briefly hold them before they’re released.
