Learn about the importance of eelgrass and other coastal habitats from Habitat Scientist and Educator Kim Manzo at Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) Marine Program. Then participate in creating “eelgrass tortillas”, which are burlap discs used for planting eelgrass seedlings to restore seagrass habitats. A certificate for community service hours can be provided upon request. This workshop is possible thanks to Southampton Town Community Preservation Funds.
