New York Marine Rescue Center are the primary responders for sick or injured sea turtles and marine mammals in New York. We maintain the only marine mammal and sea turtle rehabilitation center in New York State. Cold stunning is the number one cause of sea turtle fatality in New York. This is why NYMRC needs your help! You must attend a Level 1 lecture BEFORE attending a Level 2 beach training!
Join the South Fork Natural History Museum and the New York Marine Rescue Center for a two-part training all about Cold Stunning in sea turtles. First, is a Level 1 lecture at SOFO with information about New York’s sea turtles, cold stunning and the NYMRC’s rescue process.
