Join Crystal for a family-friendly exploration and scavenger hunt along the Sag Swamp trail. We will walk over land and on a boardwalk through the swamp, learning to read the secrets that plants have to tell us. From the tiniest lichens and mosses to the large oak and maple trees, plants have a lot of information to share with us about the land under our feet and even about past events such as storms, flooding, and predation. We will use a variety of tools like magnifiers, binoculars, and rulers to help the plants ‘talk’ to us. We will also make leaf-rubbings to help us remember our tree friends and the stories they have taught us.

Advance reservations are required for all events. For more information, reservations, and directions to meeting places, please call: (631) 537-9735.
