Workshop Leader: Barbara Blaisdell, Veteran Teacher, Parent, Naturalist, Artist, Long-time East Ender, South Fork Natural History Museum Board Member, and now … Accomplished Birder!

Barbara became an avid birder as a senior and a retiree in 2002. She spent many hours in field and forest and began to realize additional wonderful benefits from birding that she was reaping along the way.

Join her for this two-part program where you will learn the elements of beginning birding as well as all the other perks you gain as a birder. The first session will include binocular use, how to “spot” a bird, and how to bird by ear. The second session will put these skills into play during a bird walk and will take place on April 28 at 8:00 am. Binoculars required.

Advance reservations are required for all events. For more information, reservations, and directions to meeting places, please call: (631) 537-9735.
